Nope I'm guessing someone did that. I'll change the flags to enable PVP near the wild spawn, but disable build until a bit more further out.

There are no plans for that, you should be able to keep all your progress for the foreseeable future

You can set homes with /sethome HOME_NAME

Depends on your timezone, either 1-2 or a handful on at given times.
