What are some things you've heard of that people use to get advantages in DBD?

I'm making this thread as an attempt to put heads together and share all of the tiny tricks that people know of that gives the player slight advantages. Examples of which would include stretching your resolution to gain more sight in game, tampering with visual settings to make the red stain brighter, etc. Let me know everything you've heard down below!

the biggest advantage back than was lag switching, it could work out for survivors and killers. Also i don't think you can change values in the .ini file anymore.

there is a guide on doing that, but editing a pak1 file is not simple safe as editing a .ini. You would mostly get banned for doing it.

Sound radar. I thought about making one but at the end decided not to because there are so many random sounds involved in DBD (e.g chase music).
