Some minor confusion

Hey there!

I just wanted to clarify something with the support since I believe a made an error submitting a thread and I don't want to cause you all an extra hassle.

I made a graphics thread in User Services that was denied earlier today because I didn't give away my product in Giveaways. Fair enough, my bad. So, I proceeded to read the rules for Giveaways where I was met with some confusion. The instructions said that any giveaway should be open for 3 days and afterwards a staff member raffles in all the entrants. However, when I went to the actual subforum, many people were giving away product to the first X number of people that responded. Not knowing what to do, I made a giveaway where the first response was given a free custom thread design. Someone quickly responded, I made their design and then proceeded to submit my thread for Graphics once again.

I'm not sure if what I did was wrong or right but I just wanted to have staff take a look before you have to review my thread again.

Please let me know if I'm all good, if I need to raffle off another design or anything else. I'll do whatever you guys need me to do so that the thread gets up and running.

When someone opens a giveaway in order to get their service thread approved, we require them to have their giveaway opened for 3 days and have a staff member randomly choose a winner so that we can ensure the winner is a legitimate account as we will also do background checks on the winner.

Giveaways opened by users who just want to give something can have it opened for whatever duration they want so long as it's reasonable.
