Computer experts fall in and solve my problem! Xeon the cheapest workstation?

Not a computer nerd but i need another workstation and i came across intel xeons processors.

Apparently they are cheap af and it looks like the build can cater to my needs.
I need a computer almost on par as my current.

Threadripper 2970wx $1100 24cores48threads
128gb 16gbx8 3000mhz $560
x399 creation $400
gtx 1080

current setup cost me quite a sum of money but it caters to my workload

i came across intel xeons which i did some calculation, the setup would be almost 70% cheaper
E5 2695V3 x 2 = $150 each = $300 totalling to 28 cores 56 threads
X99 mobo = $125
128gb ecc rams 16gbx8 = $200 SE-ED
gtx 1080

so if dual xeon can give me 28 cores and 56 threads why is it cheaper then threadripper for 3 times the cost? xeon mobos are cheap as hell too, anyone please enlighten me about xeons

I mean the performance of the Threadripper will be much higher, but in your case definitely not worth the extra moolah!

Its cheap AF, because datacenters want to get rid of these products, they buying always the newest Servers, so the old one has to go, due to inefficiency and stuff like that.
