    [Discussion] Best Headset?

What is the best headset that I can buy that isn't labeled as a "Gaming Headset"? I'm pretty fed up with the sound quality that you get from gaming headsets. They are extremely bass-y and when playing games like Tarkov which rely heavily on sounds, I cant trust my current headset to give me accurate sound ques. The bass is just too much even when I turn it all the way down.

I think i want studio sound, but someone told me that they aren't good for gaming. But fuck if I know, my knowledge on sound is pretty much 0 and even after trying to do my own research, I still have no idea what I need to be looking for as far as specs go.

I used some Audio Technicas for a long while and I loved them. Great sound and by far the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn.

Just use an actual headset and a desk mic. Beyedynamic DT770's are fantastic headphones that are incredibly comfortable, and then something like a Blue Nessie or Snowball.

Keep your input separate from your-out. Think of it like this. GPU is for graphics. MOBO can do graphics but is is MADE SPECIFICALLY to do that? No. It has other things to worry about.
Another example: Webcam as a video stream source is great, but do you really think the mic they got in there is JUST AS GOOD? Fuck no.

Get a Yeti nano with a dedicated arm thing for it and a pop filter. That's your mic. Quality is superb. Anything more and you're producing music.

Sony WH-1000xm3 over-the-hear headset for your sound. Top of its class

Look for a nice bluetooth compatible headset with a microphone built in. Look for noise cancellation. You will be in a good place.

HyperX Cloud II is what I use and I am pretty happy with them, considering the amount of times I have dropped/spilled something on them.

Im not sure how I feel about wireless tho. All my peripherals are wired cause I'm scared of latency.

Just watched some reviews on that headset and I think those are what ima go with. They look extremely comfortable and usable for someone like me with a big ass head.

Are you using some sort of amp? Should I also look into getting an amp?

Do you have the 250 ohm version?

Why would you use a gamig headset when you can buy a high quality headlet like the Philips Fidelio X2/The $40 tenor microphone.

Best lesson ive learned is that headsets are garbage sound and microphone.

Good luck finding any of the microphones for sale at a fair price.

With Covid, everything is overpriced and shit. Elgato released a microphone called Wave 3 for sale for about 150. It was out of stock immediately and on ebay they selling this shit for 300. Fucking scalpers.

I ended up getting the 770 Pro 250 ohm and got a Schiit Hel to power it. They both have pretty good reviews.
