You gotta realise that these people are not the only one making these unique cars. Sure way back when you could have got in it was worth it Right now people are just riding the wave and selling it on bad news. No wonder people went broke in 2008. I am a bit salty, not gonna lie.

do you have any good 2nd places you would recommend?

GM just recalled 6 million cars, 70k of which were their EV's that were catching on fire from being charged above 90%

nio? no product yet but hopeful, they pretty much live off of news only

rivian? hopeful but still a couple years out to be on par with R&D

xpeng? they literally steal data from tesla and copy the site data, seriously, google it

waymo? its just rideshare, not for ownership + its on gas cars

nkla? their cars only go downhill, extreme nepotism within the company, sex frauds, scandals, scams, and none of their managers are qualified, seriously, one of their executives was an asphalt layer.

bmw? overpriced, tech is still bad, no battery optimization, but i guess you can just say "its a bmw, you dont buy it for efficiency!"

Volkswagen on the other hand I actually think they will do pretty good, theyre backing $300 million ($118 billion within the next 10 years) to battery development with KCAC (QuantumScape) which are designing Solid-State Lithium batteries applying Moore's Law (2x better, 0.5x the cost) I have a couple shares in KCAC/QS but VW is definitely going to outsource their software because what they have now is completely buggy, no OTA updates, and they have been known to lie about their emissions (look up Volkswagen green diesel scam)

But the catch is; Volkswagen WONT release these Solid State Lithium battery EV cars until 2025 the EARLIEST. QS still has no working prototype, that being said I do have shares with both of them, just they'll be a couple years late to the show.
