Watched the video. Swerves into the wrong lane sometimes I've noticed. I wouldn't have the balls to let it drive me around in a city like that.

However, it did very well. I could definitely see that if ALL cars were autopilot, they could communicate with each other and it would be safer.

yeah if you saw the china video it had to go into another lane to dodge a guy carrying a bunch of pallets but it didnt merge back into its original lane quick enough, its not level 5 yet but still very low interventions. the beta testers are told to always pay attention to the road even if its on fsd beta

I don't fuck with tesla. Obv 2020 is the hindsight but too risky for my blood. I initally regretted it but the more I understand my risk tolerane the more I understand that stocks like NIO and TESLA are not for me. Both are hype based non fundemantal and news based stock. Do you really want to risk your money with that sort of stock?

Overall I am up 30% in my portfolio. So I am happy with myself (I can't say I earned it though).

i would say yes, both are definitely hyped, tesla does have some products (so its not all news-based) where NIO has no product yet, and is pretty news based ill agree with you there.

To be honest I don't disagree or agree with you but i will say; alot of TSLA's current price has ALOT of future expectations already priced in, but when the sp500 has to buy 37% weight (127 million shares) at an increasing value im gonna get butt fucked with the amount of cash theyre gonna blow up my ass

do you have any good 2nd places you would recommend?

GM just recalled 6 million cars, 70k of which were their EV's that were catching on fire from being charged above 90%

nio? no product yet but hopeful, they pretty much live off of news only

rivian? hopeful but still a couple years out to be on par with R&D

xpeng? they literally steal data from tesla and copy the site data, seriously, google it

waymo? its just rideshare, not for ownership + its on gas cars

nkla? their cars only go downhill, extreme nepotism within the company, sex frauds, scandals, scams, and none of their managers are qualified, seriously, one of their executives was an asphalt layer.

bmw? overpriced, tech is still bad, no battery optimization, but i guess you can just say "its a bmw, you dont buy it for efficiency!"

Volkswagen on the other hand I actually think they will do pretty good, theyre backing $300 million ($118 billion within the next 10 years) to battery development with KCAC (QuantumScape) which are designing Solid-State Lithium batteries applying Moore's Law (2x better, 0.5x the cost) I have a couple shares in KCAC/QS but VW is definitely going to outsource their software because what they have now is completely buggy, no OTA updates, and they have been known to lie about their emissions (look up Volkswagen green diesel scam)

But the catch is; Volkswagen WONT release these Solid State Lithium battery EV cars until 2025 the EARLIEST. QS still has no working prototype, that being said I do have shares with both of them, just they'll be a couple years late to the show.
