The only requirements for a valid negative reputation are:
That is it, if those requirements are met, there is no room for argument. Furthermore. I would like to point out that this reputation does not even truly qualify as a negative one as the reputation you received had zero negative effect on your reputation, literally its rep power was 0. That aside, you should also know that absolutely no one but Admins and yourself can see the reputation reason. Therefore it has no adverse affect on your marketplace standing whatsoever. Whatever personal problems have arisen between yourself and this member are yours to deal with, and outside of the scope of this section. Sales thrashing as Ahlwong explained in the previous thread is a different matter entirely, and it is up to that member to in the future provide evidence against yourself or anyone else in an appropriate place and manner.
I consider the matter pertaining to this particular reputation fully closed. Any further threads opened about this same reputation will be deleted immediately, and may result in an infraction or ban. A blessed, safe and happy new year to you & yours as well.

- A direct interaction must have occurred. By your own admission, this did happen.
- The reputation must have a valid reason attached to it with no offensive language. Which it did, regardless of whether you agree with it or not, the member explained with his reputation comment why they felt compelled to rep you that way.
