Need help to make gif thread design

Should i make it on after effects? if it is yes can i make a whole video and then cut it to parts to make smaller size gifs.

or what is the best way to make gif thread designs. I am master at photoshop and illustrator.

Ofcourse i know you can do it on photoshop but it is a pain.

I made a greatwork with after effect. I just followed tutorials.

You can use 3d effects, lots of easy plugins and templates.
