Life Events in 2021

Feel like this thread would have made a bit more sense earlier in January but the thought crossed my mind. What would I say happened in my life in 2021? And here's what happened that was of any significance in my life as opposed to the usual day to day.

January 2021: January 6th + Joe Biden becoming president
April 2021: Got first full time permanent job and credit card
May 2021: Birthday
June 2021: Close friend passes away from drug overdose
July 2021: Find out about close friend passing away
August 2021: Meet up with college friends for first time since covid started to visit friend's grave. US withdrawal from Afghanistan was also happening.
November 2021: First extended family Thanksgiving since covid.
December 2021: First extended family Christmas since covid.

Year defining event that's more personal is definitely my close friend passing away. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on what happened in their lives and countries that you would say defined 2021. 2022 is going to be quite the year. I can feel it.

Mine pretty lack luster compared to yours I guess

April/May - Bought my first car (Toyota 86 GT)
August - Graduated with my AAS in IT, concentration in cyber
December - Promoted to a management job at the restaurant I worked at but left 2 weeks after

This whole year I worked 90+ hours every week between 2 different food establishments and grossed about $100k but killed my mental health

June: I finally got my driver's license at 23

That's all I can think of. School stresses me out. I just want to take a 6 month break from anything after I graduate to be honest.

Still trying to break into the IT world and start a career, its hard to say the least. The job that I just quit, I was an assistant kitchen manager and they just offered me that job back with an immediate $.5 raise and another $.5 raise in 30 days. It's not a bad hourly for a kitchen job tbh but the stress tho

Feb - Turned 19 and slowly started realizing how more and more people are treating me as an adult. Scary and exciting at the same time, it's a weird feeling.
July - Cleared CLAT (which is like LSAT in my country) and got into a top law college.
August - Overwhelmed by college, never imagined a day would come where I would check my mail every hour.
December - Started the process of moving out, which would be complete by this month's end.

Overall, not too eventful compared to what others have mentioned, but definitely more exciting and new than my own previous years by far.

I'm trying to switch careers to IT as well big man. Starting out with the basics but seeing the amount of job offers and how hungry recruiters are, it's truly a good motivator. Keep your head up and we'll get there.
