I mean: groceries, utilities, appliances, restaurants, etc.

It depends on the relationship you have. You would need to talk with your significant other to talk about the boundries of financial involvement regarding the contributions. It also depends on the situation you're in as in living together or separate, how often you see each other, etc.. etc..

Only if she's worth it, I would never share my bank account though literally asking for trouble in this day of age.

Depends on how they are financially. If I'm making way more than them, I might be chipping in a bit more but they'll just have to do other stuff that I won't be doing.

I think like all things in life, it depends and it's important to communicate your needs and abilities truthfully and openly. If one partner (regardless of gender) makes more money, it's not entirely unreasonable for them to take on more responsibility because they actually have the means to do so, but this must be communicated and not expected.

I mean in a normal relationship, living together and sharing everything nowadays most people used a share account tho one of them needs to check the finances.

Men should be capable of providing and protecting their families. In most cases nowadays this isn't the reality so it really depends on the couple.

If it's a wife or you have a child together, then yes. But if it's a girlfriend, I think it's okay to split 50/50. Perhaps cultural background also plays a role in this decision. Personally, I cover 70% of the expenses while my girlfriend contributes 30%. I wouldn't want her to bear the entire financial burden, but at the same time, I wouldn't want a woman who is completely dependent on me financially - unless of course, I am a millionaire!
