Complex search box or am I doing something wrong?

What can "You must have fifteen posts to post links" mean when trying to use the site search? For example, I just want to search for something like "Ninja Ripper" (software that extracts 3D models from games). I haven't posted any website links, in fact, I'm not even using the post tab, but the search tab.
Sorry if this is obvious and simple, I'm new to the forum. I came across a program that was cracked and made available on youtube, where in the ".txt" there were the credits here, which attracted me to look for news and updates of this software and others.

Looking here now, I think it's just a warning from the site for new users, but why can't I search for anything?
