Just learn Objective-C :\
Light travels faster than sound. That's why most people seem bright until you hear them speak.
I got mac
and i know a simple app creator program... I dont remember its name. But i used it on windows. You could create games like get out of the house with light on.
Nice
thanks evreyone
dragonfire is garbage. its damn near impossible to compile for the iphone. imo u need a mac or a vmware/virtual box install of osx 10.5 or higher
Is they reasonably easy to make an app...?
Suggestion, I-Phone has recently allow the development of native apps with HTML5 and Css3 (which can make some Killer apps) You can use phonegap to compile (remember you would have to use SQLlite for database and image storing) Apple allows phonegap compiled applications in the appstore, in fact one of the number one selling i-pad apps was compiled with phonegap on a windows machine /

Mac: You're going to have to learn xCode which IS a pain in the ass, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. But you have to get the iPhone SDK, from Apple, from their developers site.
PC: eh... Dragonfire SDK is okay. I mean I tried it out it is somewhat difficult to get the hang of it. But I use Flash CS5 and you can make your own apps from that, without having to use xCode instead you use actionscript, just like making a regular actionscript game or w/e. It is difficult to get used.
I would recommend getting a mac, strictly for making apps. I don't like mac lol. But it's the native machine to create apps on and it is pretty cool. Plus you have a built in editor for the drag-n-drop display type. So, yeah.
Fear me, For I am Death.
I have a mac G4 laptop with osx leopard and I still develop with Jquery, HTML5 , CSS3.
Much better IMO, when you finish developing, load it with phone gap, use the native features (alot of them, including accelerometer) then if you want, have a friend submit it to the appstore from thier mac or publish it online and offer whomever the URL.
Yes, Phonegap works with windows, you can compile it with native features.
One downfall however is you will have to submit it through dash code for app store, or you can bypass the app store and use your own distribution system , but if you want it to be native, has to be sent over using dash code.
