Octopus Predicted Spain Defeat Germany

Paul the octopus known for his ability at correctly predicting winners of Germany’s matches. Paul who lives at an aquarium in the western German city of Oberhausen has chosen Spain to defeat Germany in Wednesday’s semifinal. Previously he has successfully predicted all of Germany’s matches in the World Cup tournament in South Africa.

How can the octopus predict the game? He used 2 plastic boxes with food inside were lowered into the tank. One was decorated with a Spanish flag and the other with a German flag. He then predicted the outcome of the upcoming semifinal.

At first Paul went towards the German box but later moved into the Spanish box and ate the food inside. It meant a Spanish victory and Spain will face Netherlands. Germany soccer fans want Paul’s prediction to be wrong.
