who else think democrats vs republican is stupid

America is a weird country.Correct me if I'm wrong,but aren't both democrats and republicans of the same 'side'?I think the word in english is conservatives or something.
Most countries have liberals,conservatives,communist parties etc etc.
but if I'm not mistaken,you guys have 2 parties of the same side!

Honestly I think that the partisan lines are dumb. While many of the arguments are relevant and important, just fighting based on party lines is pointless and gets nowhere. I understand why it came into play in the first place; obviously, people of the same beliefs want to stick together... But its just become something that people use to gain votes... The parties have ceased to stand for what they are supposed to... People need to vote based on issues and not parties.
