[SOLVED] Huge lag about every 20 mins or so....

Hey guys, lately when I'm playing crossfire(is does this for all my online games) about every 20 min or so, my fps drops to like 5. And the screen gets all jumpy. My ping stays the same but I just get theese bad fps drops. I use game booster, CCcleaner, my drives are up to date. I've checked to see if any processes are opening when this happens but nothing changes. I turned my anti cirus off just to make sure that wasn't it. Using Win 6 64 bit. Any ideas? Or fps lag fixing program suggestion? thanks

Just noticed that my fan turns on when this happens, could it be overheating? Or could the fan turning on have something to do with it?

Get newest Mainboard drivers, also GFX drivers.

I think your processor is overheating when this happens. Open up your computer and check to see if your processor has brown spots. If so, it may be time to buy a new processor. Either AMD or Intel which ever one your motherboard is compatible with.

if yur fan is getting noisy, give your computer a hardware maintenance, open it a clean it up.

Well I didn't have the tools or time availble to do that yet, but the other night i stuck a vaccum hose to the fan vents and now evverything works fine. Fan doesnt kick on and it doesnt get hot. lol solved
