    [SOLVED]HELP PLEASE!

    ok ive just installed alteriwnet, and one of the DLC's doesnt work. i want to get rid of alteriwnet, but i cant and it says mw2 doesnt exsist now!

    have you tried just deleting the alterIWnet folder?
    program files\steam\steamapps\common\name of alteriwnet folder
    or were ever you installed it to?

    yes i just tried that now. no when i go to launch mw2 it says iw4mp not responding and closes it!

    Maybe your computer is nto good enough to run the game or you need to update DirectX and your graphic card drivers (ATi/nVidia).

    1. are you trying to run a patched hack .. will cause a crash dump
    2. try reinstalling the patch from alternets web site "patch3"
    3. reinstall entire game and patches

    Microsoft DirectX is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) for handling tasks related to multimedia, especially game programming and video, on Microsoft platforms.

    Direct3D (the 3D graphics API within DirectX) is widely used in the development of video games for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Xbox, and Microsoft Xbox 360.
    Basically, you need it to run most 3D games. Also, the latest version has extra updates and bug fixes in it aswell as optional files that may be needed for legacy games.
