does XP go by kills or K/D of the match?

i was wondering how does XP go by, cuz i was playing a match and got 47/17 and my other teamate got 50/26 i got 253 xp and he got 245 xp.

example -tdm 127 kills 700 exp
s & d 40 kills 1100 exp

Not necessarily. If you get 100 kills and 100 deaths, you are bound to receive more EXP than someone whom obtained 30 kills and 0 deaths.
But, you could have gotten more of a factor than the other guy did. For example, you could have gotten more headshots than the other guy did.

Yes i do. But, theres a range of exp variables that is set that you MUST get for ex. 20 - 50 if u get 1 Defuse 25 - 50 if u get 2 and so on
