Well, Sony has already found out how to detect users that are using the jailbreak, so you have a high chance of being banned from psn. Being banned on the ps3 means that you have to change your IP and buy a new ps3. However, it would theoretically be possible to write a program to run on the ps3 with the jailbreak that would change the mac address of the ps3. But then again, if it was already patched, you should get re-banned the next time you sign in. So many users, including me, do not feel that the jailbreak is worth it.

so how did the jail breaking go? I'm interrested cause i got a 400$ ps3 i got half a year ago and i used to play mw2 before i sold and now its just been sitting there for more then 3 months
