I go to Ward Melville and I'm currently at my senior year. The atmosphere is pretty good. There are places to go to like a weight room, patio, commons etc. The students are fairly smart, but there are some pretty poor-performing students. I loved all my teachers in the district, especially my science and math teachers. The math teacher I had last year was very nice, she wouldn't move onto a new topic until everyone understood the current one perfectly. I always managed 90s in all of those classes. Environmental influences...I think there is a garden club. I don't know of many of their practices, but I always do see a lot of waste especially on pizza Fridays with hundreds of empty boxes.

The funding is excellent. My area is great so there is a lot of funding. They built an addition to the school, added 8 huge TVs to the cafeteria (you can't hear them for shit) and the weight room over the course of two years. The food could be a lot better. I actually heard they discovered maggots in the ketchup. Fortunately I always go on the deli line where you can choose the ingredients you want on a sandwich. The price increased to $2.50 which is not bad, but for a slice of Papa Johns I think it's absurd. My high school only has three years. I don't notice many people organize into clicks exactly. Some of the druggies stay near other druggies, but people associate themselves with others they enjoy talking to, not those that share a particular interest.

The rules are pretty lenient. However; one rule states you cannot wear hats because drugs can be smuggled inside them. I personally dislike this rule. Rumors aren't that bad. The worst one I heard was about a girl who gave like every guy she knew a blow job. The class rooms generally have order. Granted there may be one class where the students constantly disrupt the lesson. As I said I like the teachers, the janitors are useful, the lunch ladies can make nice small talk, and everyone seems to do their jobs appropriately.

Senior privileges are limited to the patio and a parking spot, there's closed campus this year.

Pretty good for a public High School.

I'm still regaining all my tricks for skating after a 10 month break, and my muscle memory is shit, so i don't want to start embarrassing myself

by the time i hit 4th period, i always smell cigs or weed through our aircons..
I go to the bathrooms, smells like cigs or weed. shit or lighters in the toilets that are clogged.
library is subtle. most classrooms are aight. the enviroment is pretty big, so you don't get 'stuck in traffic' only in 1st to 2nd period passing time
schedule is badass, only 4 classes, but we can graduate by junior year. so i could be done soon.

yes schools have cliques, but not over-run by cliques.
the school i go to is like divided into some small groups of cliques, skaters, jocks, nerds, musicians, then the rest of the school (about 80%) is divided into villages/ location of birth and current place where they live.
it's like gangs but by where they're from.

No, by mexicans and asian villages?
lol here, there are like 6 villages (towns) that fall under my schools district
they separate themselves and it's a village rivalry, but not entirely, there's no killing, just drama.
it's nice though. i don't hang out with my village, i hang out with skaters and musicians, and i know a lot of other people that are part of different villages. sooo it's pretty simple to be in between everything without being in the drama.
