The worst thing that can happen is that the game crashes upon loading the file (happened to me when I went editing outfits, at first ti worked then it just crashed, got a message saying 'Error: 104' and 'cracked files')

You can only edit Walls and floors, and none moveable stuff like boxes and barrels. U can also create a bypass for those files. So u Can edit them.
