What compiler do you guys recommend for starting, I've tried MASM, I hate that program interface, too complicated just to compile, and from the looks of it, isn't REAL ASM, but more like a C program.

I would personally recommend fasm if you don't like masm as it's got a nice clean interface and it's really easy to use for beginners, it also comes with some good tutorials to get you started and includes a lot of easy to use macro's, you can of course also make your own and define your own data structures etc without any problems, check it out here fasm
