Texture Request Thread (For Skins/Camos)

It doesnt really matter what its actually made of, be it synthetic plastic, or real wood, its the looks of it that he wants changed. Just a solid metal looking gun in game, regardless of what it was actually designed to be.

See that's where I am probably mistaken, I know what it is actually made of and since the request wasn't very specific, I couldn't help but project my knowledge onto the already made texture. Had he said a "more shinier metal-like texture," I would have know what to do. That's why I asked for more details.

play with the weapon files in iw_14.iwd
use houses tutorial but make the whole dds yellow/gold and you'll have gold

I've done that but it just comes out yellow. I think I found a solution. If I have I will report back and can help with any textures that people want.

those pictures is derps definition of specular or environmental files..the one in-which cant be found for making "camo" but for gun skins yes..

just take a look at my golden pack
it has golden skins, open the files and take a look at
the alpha layers XD (the secret)
the alpha layers make the gun shiny and reflect in the sun
