I began my endeavor here on MPGH in June of 2009. It never occurred to me then that I would be visiting this site occasionally still almost two years later.
This site arguably does more harm than good by every standard of ethics, and I've never questioned whether MPGH was morally ambiguous as its quite clear that it borders more heavily on the darker side of the fence.
Partially due to being an active and contributing member of the site, I have come to realize and understand many axioms that I would not have outside of this community. For instance, I have become more aware of the vacuity that resonates within modern society in both character and intelligence. I now understand more fully how and why people use each other solely for their own personal gains and how easily and swiftly people jump on and off bandwagons, following each other blindly like sheep in a herd.
However, there have been small victories. I have met several people through which I have learned a lot and shared experiences with that have earned my respect and deserve to be noted. I have decided to do so here:
Daverun
You are good leaders. You put on this façade and intimidate and allure the masses into trusting you, fearing you, and following you. I respect you because behind that façade, even though rarely shown, you are decent people and I definitely enjoyed being a part of your team while it lasted.
PS: You both still smd on HoN.
Liz
You helped me out on so many levels and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. You'll probably just get sick of it sooner or later. I respect you because you have shown time and time again that you were willing to work twice as hard as anyone for the same prize at the finish line. Also because you were arguably one of my closest friends on MPGH, always saw the best in me, and pushed me to become as great as I have now become.
Czar
We were never truly close, but I always held a level of respect for you as a person because you were one who broke away from that herd of sheep. Talking to you, just like a select few others, was refreshing as it was always both enlightening and entertaining.
Paroxysm
I hardly know you and I have only chatted with you several times on MSN, but for close to the same reasons I respect Czar, I respect you as well. You are different the average dull-minded MPGH basement dweller, and I enjoyed having discussions with you and Liz regarding quantum mechanics and the like.
Josh
I respect you only because occasionally I saw the real you. You, like the others listed above, are intelligent and entertaining, two qualities I respect.
If you weren't listed, I'm sure you don't care. If you are offended, then fuck off, because I don't care.
I'm not sure whether I'll log on ever again after this, just as I had not known whether I would do so ever again the last time I logged off for the night 2 months ago. But, if I decide to not return anymore, then here's to you, MPGH:
Thank you, and fuck you.
