Hey all I need help with fixing my ps3 because it keeps screwing up.. I have tried the 1492 thing and it did not work pls help

Error Code (80710B23)
Means he can't sign into PSN

And he also means by the 1492 thing is:
If you have a cable modem connection, you should never see this error message.
Only most of DSL customers have this problem because you need to get to network settings and set the MTU manually to 1492 instead of the default 1500.
Which didnt work either for him,
Help would be appreciated,
