this has happened to me heaps i hate stupid viruses. i understand how it feels to loose all your crap in one fow swoop. ive just learnt to pick up the pieces and rebuild.

Trend Micro's Hijack this

combine that with Registry clean expert

Ad-aware pro or Malbytes

Spybot search&destroy

And a good Antivirus. I use Bitdefender.

That's what just got me out of my jam. Finally out of safe mode.

Being familiar with Regedit is useful too.

Always run real time protection after you're all cleaned out! Firewall ur shit.

Whenever I get into those situations, I restore everything with my online hard drive, Drop Box. You should use it and store important stuff in there.
