Connection withers away?

So I finally got this router to work so that it gets internet, but after a few secs the lights start to dim and blink and eventually just turn off... to get it to work again, i have to use the other side of the ethernet cord and then it does the same thing. Does that mean it's dead or burnt out?

Could be the router its self, because the cord is receiving and giving the connection, so i dont think its the ehternet cord.

Unfortunately, no... I got this one today. The reason I have it is because it's a wireless router so then I could play my xbox from upstairs with it.

I FINALLY FIGGERED IT OUT. I used the ac adapter from my modem for the router n it worked fine, except then my modem isn't powered even with other ac adapters because they're too weak. "Mai internets are strong and they need lots of lectricity" to put it in english.
