Do 2 new layers in the beginning.
Get some cool brushes and brush the first layer with white.
Go to the second layer and change the brushes and brush them with black.
Than make a light source.
Make a new layer,and get a soft brush with 300px.And brush white were the shadow is coming in this case from the left.

and here is un new verition based on sentrax idea. i didnt made a gardient overlay the whole pic just some of the bg. i think it looked cooler so here it is
