I have 16 SVCHOST.exe open in my process and yes its virus how to get rid off it!
if they're not running under your name(system, local service etc) then they're fine... I have 12 running and they're fine
Thats a lie, is a not a virus just a place to hide one...Most are Rat's i suggest Following it to the file endprocess and change the file type so like .exe to .txt or to .LOL

To view the list of services that are running in Svchost:
1. Click Start on the Windows taskbar, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type CMD, and then press ENTER.
3. Type Tasklist /SVC, and then press ENTER.
this lets you see what is doing what :P

They're just services running in the background for things like File I/O and networking daemons. Just go ahead and end the processes and you will see stuff stops working.
Easy, turn off all your services that are required for your system to run

Okay, Svchost is a service, it is not only a service, but just about every communication to the internet may generate a new instance of svchost, dare you to try and close it down.....
Ignore it, the only time you have to really worry about it, is that long dead w32 virus, it crashes svchost and will cause your pc to shutdown.
