2.5 N00b questions

I just have two and a half questions regarding scope and crosshair modding.
1) I have found cross hair files that look like they have the DTX for the crosshairs at different points of spread. Are these mod-able?
2) a] Does the scope...focus.dtx affect the magnification in game?
b] How does the game define what pops up in the scope when I scope in?

2)a]No.
b] The magnification action is bound to your right mouse click. The scope does not pop in in CA, the gun model doesn't even move to your face.

The L&R things are the HP and Ammo counters for that one scope that shows HP&Ammo.
