Why are they making so many old guns now?

Old guns did more damage than today guns, the average musket with a rifled barrel is like a shooting a lightweight .50 caliber rifle.

Musket balls and later the REALLY deadly minnie round were around the size of an average human thumb (the top part not the whole thumb). You're firing .60 YES 60 caliber at people.

Yup. Muskets use round-bore ammunition. These early bullets literally spun out of control. They were very inaccurate. Plus, the primer was muzzle loaded with the musket balls, a time consuming and overall inefficient process.

Not really, a rifled barrel made the gun pretty accurate, but not comparing rifles of today. Now replacing the ball with a minnie round and that my friend..is a death machine almost a full mile.

A minnie is very similar to todays bullet, ballistically speaking. It is by far more superior then the musket ball.

yes the old guns did alot of damage but they were also more prone to misfires and the musket balls did not have very good aerodynamics so if it was windy your accuracy dropped alot compared to modern bullets
