Ipod touch wifi /gewd

I cant access
I got wifi its like 30cm away from my laptop. Its all good fast and etc. i know the password and my router is netgear. ilogged on by the ip address etc got all the details. So i go to Settings>Wifi>(My network) then write my password. Then it says unable to join the network.
I tried the mac address like adding it etc. It goes Invalid mac address.
I want to go on mpgh and shit on my ipod

Ahh, i think you can solve this by deleting system 32 folder.
KIDDING DONT DO THAT!

Just turn off wifi and router off for a few mins, then put it all the settings again..

turning it off won't simply do the trick 90% of the time
hard-reset it, hold the reset button (that small hole in the back or side, or even bottom of the router that you'd have to use like a needle or paper clip to press.
hold it for around 25-60 seconds and your router will return to factory settings.
if you have any custom settings other than your password; ie: port forwarding etc; then whateverrrr

listen up boy, im am almost identical to your situation, how?

have same company router,
have iphone with wifi connection,
ive had that error plenty of times,

heres what you can do;

1. there will be a reset button on the back of the wireless router, once you have clicked that with a pin, it will set it back to factory settings, now that means STOCK USERNAME AND STOCK PASSWORD, mine is a netgear, so factory settings is ADMIN & password, now log into, www.r o u t e r login.net, login using the FACTORY username and password, then go to wireless settings under setup;

Setup
	Basic Settings
	Wireless Settings

when your in wireless settings make sure your's look's similar to mine,

now make sure you have similar settings to mine, obviously diff PASSWORD and diff name of router, once you've done that click apply, wait for a loading screen to load the NEW settings, and then forget the wifi in your ipod settings, by clicking SETTINGS>WIFI> blue arrow across the name of your wifi r o u t e r name>"FORGET THIS NETWORK", then go back to the start, wait for it to find the new network, try to join it apply password and see what happens then, if not then ring your ISP provider.
