They've been using that as proof that oil will not start and will not start pumping oil for 10 years. Yet the whole thing is about OCS drilling not offshore drilling. The OCS ban expires in 2012 and the Offshore drilling ban ends September 30th, 2008, which the Democrats can't extend because if I recall for them to vote to extend it requires 2/3, but if not Bush will just veto it.

i love how pelosi said that offshore drilling wont help gas prices or help our economy, she said we should dip into our reserves... how smart is she? when we burn through our reserves selling at 2$ gallon, what will happen when the reserve runs dry? well, when opec cuts us off, we screwed thats what, and making gas cheaper will not help alternative fuel research.
