Is this really your first signature? It's actually pretty good. I'd give it a 8/10. And in future work don't put text in signatures because it's very criticised here in MPGH.
gamer4evere:

Splinter Cell:
Yes this is my first signature and thanks for the heads up about text.

Very nice 9/10.
I actually like the text a bit but next time try to test all the text you have (or download more) until you find a great combo. Also think about text before putting it on. Umm other than that, nice job
Just a heads up for you text fiends. Wacky and cartoon like font's are not always the best options. In most cases, simple fonts like times new roman and arial work amazing.
Looks too plain in my opinion.
He doesn't stand out very well ?
Text is acceptable here it's just rarely done in a way that adds to the image rather than take away. In this case it takes away. For one it is a little hard to read either because the name or word is not a common word and the font is also a bit challenging. This causes the viewer upon seeing it to spend more time trying to decipher the text rather than appreciate the image.
As for the actual image: The background is nice but the render and the background clash. The render has a very dark feel to it where as the background has quite the opposite effect. This is a simple atmospheric or lighting mistake. Honestly with a render like that I would have done something a bit darker because it has to do with like killing, fighting, etc. However to fix what you have where I would suggest experimenting with the burn and dodge tools AND/OR gradient maps and photofilters. Besides those things you can adjust the brightness levels as well as the contrast.
It's a great job for your first piece and because of that I'm going to challenge you to do better your next time. Keep it up.
