I have bought an vps with 2GB Ram
but want to run like 1-2 bots on it but wich OS is the best?
and the easyst? (dont look @ my grammar please i come from holland)
i need an os where its easy to install java
[i cant set windows]
help/support me please

i use these for 24/7 botting
but there is no windows on it :S
only linux OSSES

ik a guy who got 15$/M and 2GB ram and ran 24/7 /
crashed once only in a month . VPS provider gave him a extra 2 days cuz of the fail , but the VPS failed for a hour tho

Als je een voorgeprepareerd OS kan kiezen zou ik voor CentOS gaan (indien beschikbaar met GI). Zo niet, dan is Ubuntu het makkelijkste op te zetten voor een VPS. Ik raad aan om er voor te zorgen dat je een grafische interface installeert.

 in Ubuntu is dit vrij simpel, er zijn "schonere" manieren om dit te doen maar dit is gewoon het makkelijkst.
1.  ssh naar je vpn toe.
2. type in het terminalvenster: 
$sudo su
voer het rootwachtwoord in.
dan:

$apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

Dit om alle updates te installeren. doe dit elke 2-3 weken!

nu de GI installeren. De meest gebruikte GI is "Gnome2" maar aangezien je een VPN draait raad ik je aan XFCE te installeren. dus;

$apt-get install xubuntu-desktop

VPN rebooten.
Hierna moet je een vnc-server opzetten. Aangezien er tuts in overvloed zijn te vinden daarover ga ik hier niet op in.

als je inlogt met VNC krijg je je grafische interface te zien. Hierna kun je de bots installeren. Echter, denk er wel aan ook JDK en JRE te installeren!

*die $ tekens betekenen dat het een terminalcommando is, deze hoef je niet te kopieren

If you can choose a ready-made OS (with a GE) you should go for CentOS. Else, Ubuntu is the easiest to setup.
Usually the host will let you choose between different OS'es. It depens on the host what customisations can be made. If you cant choose a Graphical Environment I'll suggest you choose Ubuntu, as it is (IMO) the easiest to setup.

Its rather simple to install a GE into ubuntu, although there are "cleaner" ways to do that.

1. ssh into your vpn
2. in the terminal windows type the following commands:

$sudo su      -> this will grant you root acces, just type your password
$apt-get update && apt-get upgrade          -> this will update your vpn. use this command every 2-3 weeks!
$apt-get install xubuntu-desktop    -> you can also use ubuntu-desktop but as gnome is way heavier then xfce and therefor uses more valuable resources you should install the much lighter xfce

3. reboot your VPN
4. setup a VNC server, there are plenty of tutorial found everywhere so i wont be covering that.

once logged in with VNC you should see your desktop. Remember to install JDK and JRE or you wont be able to start your bot

*those $ signs mean it is a command, you wont have to copy that!

edit2: after downloading the bots right-click (or chmod 777) the bot .sh file and mark it as an executable, or you wont be able to start the bot.
