doesn't all computers already do that?
Isn't there a program to monitor incoming files?
In other words, when I am on the internet, it would tell me every file
thats downloaded onto my computer. At least that way I'd know if some
file was put on my harddrive. I know what I intentionally download.
I also know that there are data files downloaded, such as email data,
newsgroup data, and html files put into my browser cache. Those are
all normal. It's the executable files that are put on my drive
without my permission that I want to know about.
Dont they make anything like this? Ideally, it would allow settings
to NOT track the data files, or even eliminate anything placed into
selected directories (such as my download dir). In the end, a text
file would be generated, telling of all download activity, minus
whatever we want ignored. This way We would all know what got placed
on out drive without our permission.
Is there such a thing?
Thank U
