Use the disk manager that comes with your OS.

    1. Get a new hard drive and just move the files(Not your boot drive)
    2. Upload and download the files from an online server
    3. Use a USB for a slow transfer
    4. Use firewire cable

How big is the Hard Drive? All you need is an 80Gb partition of your hard drive for you OS... Using Windows Partition Manager is the easiest way to accomplish this, or any 3rd Party Partitioning Software...
I would recommend you to partiton your hard drive no less than 80Gb and no more than 120Gb for OS & Programs...
