Steam won't open

As there is no certain "Steam help" section, I'll just post this here.

Ok, so every time I try to open Steam, or any Steam related game. Steam just says connecting and then Freezes and I have to force close.

I've reinstalled Steam several times. I deleted everything except the steam.exe and the steamapps foler.

I've updated steam, contacted steam support and they just told me to reinstall, it didn't work.

Ideas?

Right, go to dependencywalker (.com) and check if you have everything you need for steam to function..

Did you try redownloading steam?

I downloaded it. and opened steam.exe with it. But it looks like a bunch f jibberish to me,

Tried that already. Updated Gfx drivers. Seriously out of ideas.

Have you tried restoring your computer back to the day it was working, maybe the day after that you did something wrong or updated something you shouldnt have!
Usually this works for most people!

System restore does not effect files.

Fine don't do it. I had a similar problem with skype though and i system restore fixed it

okay reading all the other comments looks like you might have to contact steam,
on that steamcommunity website or steampowered and make a different acc because i think thats what they ask you to do, i cant remember.

EDIT: make one of those HELP tickets.

I've already submitted a ticket to Steam. They told me to re-install. But they are clearly fucking idiots over there because I told them in my ticket that I've tried reinstalling several times..

And how can they tell me to make a new steam account? I have like 400$ worth of games on mine....
