No. VAC = Valve Anti-Cheat
Battlefield uses Punkbuster, not VAC as a Anti Cheat Software. But you shouldn't hack in BC2. It's just too good to be mistreated
Hi, I was wondering if I run Bad company 2 of steam if i need to disable vac if I am going to hack.

@Pastorius thats what i also think
Tbh i will not hack on bf3.. I used to do so on bfbc2, but now, it gets boring playing like that.
Good luck.
As said above, no, you do not, VAC2 only applies to games built with the Source engine+.
Alright thank you, also I just wanted to try out the hacks.. I don't want to get banned, because bc2 is a beast game.
@Lehsyrus not just source engine games, black ops and also mw2 are protected by VAC, but other than that you are correct.
Battlefield bad company 2 has punkbuster as anticheat program. Some of the games are protected by VAC (valve anti cheat), Valve made that anti cheat for their games (and some of the others)
Homefront uses VAC.
