Drawing Images into D3D apps?

Hey there!
Does anybody know, how to make an ingame trainer menu?
I just want to draw a bitmap into a game, so the player don't have to alt-tab.
I already found a DirectX hook tutorial of sheep but it didn't work for me and since it is ASM, i didn't understand it.
