@Ryguy Please don't move this to Help section, the skilled ones won't see it there.
So, what is the proper size of the layer for a tutorial?
And what size should be the images inside the layer?
Do you use pre-made backgrounds when making tutorials or design them yourself?
I'm thinking about making simple tutorial(s), but I need some basic info to start with...

The skilled ones (Doc, Eth, Ry, Scr...) don't look there... at least not most of the times.
Size: really? Make it as big as you need it
Inside images size: original size unless there fucking huge
Background: your choice
What do you mean by "as big as you need it"?
I could make it 700x1900 and after 2 hours figure out I need more space and have to start all from the beggining because I can't stretch only one layer (the background)...
Guess how much space you need. Start off with a solid color background and then if you need more space just go to image>resize canvas (or something like that) and then make it bigger. Before hitting okay after resizing make sure you hit the top arrow out of the like 8 there are to choose from, this will make sure what you had will stay on top and everything added will go to the bottom.
All layers taken from a sig or w.e you are working with should have the same original dimensions.
As for the background you could get a premade one or make it yourself.
