also @ OP, you're paying way too much for ram. I was able to get 8gb of dd3 1600mhz ram for 60 bucks. I like my gtx 470, but I think you're better off opting for a 570 which may cost only a bit more for better performance, the gtx 470 isn't priced properly considering its a generation old now. I was able to get mine back in November for 230...

If you manage to save money through getting components from deals off of slickdeals then I would also recommend getting an SSD for OS and program installs. You'll boot way faster

Good Choice... It's beats all of AMD Processors from the Phenom II X4 & X6... and it's up there with the 980x & 990x... for a Quad Core CPU... Overclock it to 4.8Ghz and let's kick some ass...

since your spending a butload, why not keep another butload, and get this Newegg.com - EVGA GTX 590 CLASSIFIED Limited Edition 3GB 768-bit GDDR5 PCI express 2.0 x16, 3xDual-Link DVI, DisplayPort, HDCP Ready, QUAD SLI Ready, PhysX, 3D Vision Surround Support Video Card . Also, since your having all these nice shiny parts, im betting you want to overclock. SOOOOO, you might as well SKIP air, and go for liquid cooling. But i wouldnt know anything about this because ive got a junior build

Heard somewhere that the 570s had some sort of bios issue. Not sure if it was a legit claim or just some ati fanboy. Man I can't remember for the life of me where I saw it...

Get a cheaper mobo and drop the sound card, you most likely don't need much more than the integrated one.
