I've read quite a few c++ books but I find this one the most clear and best for beginners. It doesn't assume that you have prior knowledge of c++ so thats good.
Btw skip the first chapter. Its kind of an intro and history which you don't necessarily need.

LOL I bought the book! Would the my knowledge be sufficient enough to make a game hack after reading and practicing with the book?

Don't skip it if you want to be a good coder. It's in your best interest to know some background info on coding

You should then proceed to learning d3d. After that ask one of the hack makers here to mentor you. Im sure theyll take you if you have good knowledge.
