Is disabling my UAC bad decision?

Agreed, UAC is there for your protection. It might get annoying at times, but it prevents unwanted access to a lot of things. Any program running as Administrator can also start another process as Administrator, take that in mind as well. If you are someone is who constantly on the web browsing sites, running unverified programs, etc, keep it on.

When in doubt, use brute force. — Ken Thompson
i personally think UAC is very annoying and instantly disable it on any pc i get ( most pcs are win 7 these days). But i also only download and use reliable programs that i have used in the past and know wont mess up my pc. I don't even use an anti-virus program now that the one that came with the pc has expired.
Hasn't backfired on me except one time i got a virus cause some 1 uploaded something that worked, and then later changed it to a virus. It was very annoying because it was a worm that would copy itself into a new directory every time you deleted the old one. Very sneaky but with the help of task manager you can pretty much tell what most virus's are running on your pc, disable them and delete them from the location it specified.
Personally I keep UAC enabled until something requires it, then I turn it off, restart (you have to restart after disabling it) do what ever I need to do then turn it on the next time I restart =P. I have only had to disable it around 3 times so far on this computer, and I have had it for a very long time.
