requesting to close the thread != requesting to move the thread to an appropriate section
I received an infraction point about a week ago, although it will expire, I'm not sure why I got it. @Jabuuty671 gave it to me and said "Request closing or request deleting is NOT permitted. If you have an issue with the content PRESS THE REPORT BUTTON. (Does not apply to thread starter.)" I requested a move because it was in the wrong section. Many, many, many people requested a move and haven't received infractions. Why me?
Are you saying they are the same thing? Wouldn't requesting a close mean closing the thread and requesting a move mean move it to the right section? Plus why is there some other people who request moves and don't get infractions.
"Many, many, many people requested a move and haven't received infractions"
How do you know I haven't infracted/gave them a warning?
I even linked you to the announcement Dave made.
@Jabuuty671 I sent you a message about another member requesting a move and you didn't even reply or say he has an infraction also. And like I said before isn't requesting a close requesting for it to be closed and requesting a move is requesting to move it to the right section?
@Jabuuty671 Okay, I guess that's fair. Still, he still requested a move even though he had on-topic text. Requesting that is against the rules and even though he had on-topic text he still broke the rules.
Exactly, so why did I get the infraction?
