.X to .3ds, .obj, or any file format that will work with 3ds max 2010
I want to mess around with the models in Combat Arms, but I got to extracting the res, changing the ****B to a .X but I still cannot find a solution to get the .X converted into a format that I can use in 3ds max 2010. Help on any tools there are that can do this, or any tips/tricks to do it would be great. I got my res modding tools from:
Because it was the first thing to come up on google.
Had to delete link because it went to a banned website I presume.
dont convert to .X
convert straight from .l tb to .l ta
converting to .X loses some animations sometimes. find something that converts ltb to lta. (i have something that does it. its undetected. but not free. pm me if u want it)
um
first l t b to l t a
then import the l t a in blender and edit whatever then export as l t b
Thanks, I have an LTB to LTA converter, but I thought that converting to .X was the correct thing to do. Thanks for the assistance.
Correction: converting to x always loses animation. X doesn't support animation
I personally use SMD.u wont find a plugin for 3ds max 2010...find 3ds max 7
I dont know how to put the plugins in for 3ds max 7, from tron tools... @supercarz1991
You should make a tut on Editing L T A files.. With plugins and etc
hes actually right...if u cant even get the plugins installed, making models is WAY over your head
i usae drigen's ltb to lta converter
I would be pleased for a tutorial of how to model editing with alle plugins and converting back to LTB files...
I found a tutorial but the programs just don't work for me... I tried Lithtech Jupiter and it doesn't show the models and I tried to convert to .x files and then convert to .3ds and opened it with 3ds max 9 but can't convert it back :-(
(.X files are DirectX files why they shouldnt have animations??? Oo)
