you can't animate shit properly with voxels. On top of that you would need a metric shit ton of video memory if each particle is to be unique. Polygons do much better in terms of dynamic lighting, dynamic animation etc etc. Voxel tech has to come a lot further before it'll be of any use to the gaming industry. In terms of this specific project, unlimited detail is basically trying to get their tech videos hyped up so they can find someone to invest, it's mostly a gimmic though since this technology has existed for quite a while.
