As @Shunnai suggested, I'm, making a tutorial on how to mod. If you later still need help, contact me by, MSN (thekaty33@Yahoo.com), or PM me, and we'll TeamViewer. Okay, back to modding. I have a detailed list of what you may/may not need.
List:
PhotoShop/Paint.NET/GIMP.
War Rock installed.
A brain.
Good memory.
Some artistic abilities.
When you have those, we can finally get to work.
Now, we can get started. First, open Photoshop/Paint.NET/GIMP. Then, you can go to C:\ProgramFiles\Gamerfirst\War Rock\texture\UI. There, you can find all the available modding files.
They look like this:
Avoid opening the files that are .dds files, or the files that are XML documents. You cannot open them with GIMP\Paint.NET\PhotoShop.
They look like this:
Now, note that I am using PhotoShop to mod my files. Also, I'll be modding the ItemShop files. (They are located at C:\ProgramFiles\Gamerfirst\War Rock\texture\UI\Itemshop). You can open the file ItemShop_04.tga. Now, the regular War Rock file, (ItemShop_04.tga), will look similar to this:
We can start off modding with Hue/Saturation. Hue is a variety of a color. Depending on your color preferences,(red, green, blue, purple, etc.), you can make different mods. Saturation is basically enriching or dulling colors. And included in Hue/Saturation, is Lightness (Darker/Lighter). I chose a dark pinkish/lightish purple as my color. You can just fool around and play with the settings as you go.
Now once you've got all your settings fixed up, and you're satisfied, you can save it.
And, then run warrock, and check out your new ItemShop! Press thanks if I helped you out!
