Pure essence is for me.
I understand everyone knows this, but it really does jut need to be written out since it doesn't seem like people trust flipping enough to actually do it. It is possibly the easiest thing to do with so little effort it's amazing.
This is literally all you have to do, first get like 1 or 2m (the more money you have the more money you make). It is also HIGHLY recommended you have a members account since the are much more stable member items than F2P. Lately I have been flipping cannonballs, lobsters, and pure essence. You just have to find an item that is generally stable.
Cannonballs have stuck in the same roughly 50gp for months now. What I do is just find the lowest possible price I can buy at. For example earlier today I was buying at 245 and then selling them at 246 (for the record earlier the price of cannons was at 247 so I was buying 2 below base and selling 1 below). This is the most easy way to do it. Just buy and sell one GP higher.
You can purchase at sell 2 GP higher or something, though this happens somewhat rarely when you can buy and sell quickly more than 1 GP. Every so often you will want to make sure you are buying at selling at the right prices. Fairly frequently the supply and demand will change you instead of say buying cannon balls at 245 you will have to buy at 246. Then obviously you will just raise your selling price to 247.
Now let me make this clear, buying and selling doesn't come immediately, especially if you are buying lower than you should, because you will just be out bought. Same thing goes with selling, sometimes people will undersell you, but use some patience. Once their stock of the item is gone, yours will be next in line. Also, when an item appears to start to "crash" (by crash I mean you can buy much cheaper and not sell as expensive), just keep your ground. Never lower your selling price, because you will just loose money. Obviously lowering your buying price is fine. Now if your item isn't selling at the price you want, you can always bring it to the price you bought it for, thus you won't loose any money.
For all of you who are curious as to how selling only 1 GP higher would possibly make you money think of it like this. If you were to say buy 10k cannonballs, you would make 10k once you sell them. Now that 10k will go to buying more cannonballs which will just constantly make you money. I've made a million in just like an hour or 2 of doing this.
Not much patience is need but you do need a bit. To back this whole thing up, I was just recently watching a person go from 0 GP to 1 billion. He was just flipping items for 1 GP more. It's as easy as that.
Thanks and I hoped I helped explain how nice flipping items is for making money.
EDIT: Well I just thought I should add this to show you have to find the right item. Yesterday I was selling cannonballs and making a fortune. Today they haven't been working great, but Pure Essence has. You just have to find the item that is working at the time you want to flip.

I get 50k - 100k everytime I flip pure ess.
omg is this messy
you should clean it up
I wasn't really aiming for some master tutorial on how to flip. Someone else can do that. I was just telling people it works .
EDIT: Could be both. If he can afford 100k pure ess than yea he would make 100k per load. I generally make around 300k-400k per hour if an item is buying and selling fairly quick
