To improve? Let's see. Hmm, some characters are just out of place. @_@ You have some lineless characters, then some with outlines. Anime, semirealism and realism all mixed together. x_x And arranging the characters in a planned out way will be better. :0 Maybe strive for a balance in the direction each character is facing. Mm, you can try to make like one of those anime posters where everyone fans out from the central point overlapping each other and stuff. o_o Like kingdom hearts or something. x_x As for the background, you can also introduce elements into the far and mid ground to better "place" the characters in the scene, well, for digital art anyways.

What I meant by incorporating elements in the foreground is to have background elements maybe slightly overlapping the characters (midground). Have some crystal shards jutting in front of their feet or something. Hmm, actually, I think a general understanding of composition will help you in all forms of art whether it be digital art, photography, typography, vectoring. I'll link a tutorial for you. It was a great help to me and it may just help improve your presentation. -You lack any composition
    -No flow
    -Depth is missing
-Background shows little to no effort
-Renders seem to be just slapped on
-C4D's are barely implemented or edited
-Image is totally out of proportion

Which parts don't you understand? :0
And bleeh, don't take it all in at once. xD little by little. :0 Just keep in mind the main points when creating a piece of artwork. :P More importantly, if it looks good to you, and you absolutely did your best, then it can't possibly be bad.

Certainly kero has some truth in what he's saying. For instance when reading books on how to draw anatomy. Simply reading the different names of muscle groups and the artist's steps on how to replicate it won't produce magical results. There's a lot of experimenting and trying it out yourself that you should do. Even if you learn more literally than visually, you'll never get better if you don't try to replicate the examples.
However, in this tutorial above, I believe composition isn't something you can specifically put into practice. Rather, it's more of a general concept, so in this sense, there's really no way to follow the tutorial other than by that, just reading it and keeping in mind the key points.
So you're starting a new piece, just think first about what objects you might compose in your scene, what's the mood you want? What kind of emotion do you want to relay? Then comes the planning of focal point(s). Which object/area do you want attention drawn to? Will you have to make the contrast around that object higher? If you start thinking like this when you plan your artwork, then you've learned all there is to learn from that tutorial. :0 good luck.

    1. Read through tutorials.
    2. Have one focal point.
    3. Use renders and C4d's that flow/blend with eachother.
    4. Don't just throw things in there.
